Blacklisting IPs is by definition accepting all IPs first and try to find out which one are malicious or try to do harms on your system.
Whitelist by opposition is accepting only IPs that you want and close access to the rest of the world. Whitelisting is very effective, but you need to update your Allow lists on a daily basis when it comes to remote employees, Dynamic IP, etc. Portbrella helps you update all your list dynamically on all your network components.
